Please check in at the General Reception Counter on the 2nd floor. Counter No. 1 is the Community Medical Care Alliance Desk; Counter No. 2 is the Initial Visit Reception Counter.

Patients making their initial visit without a letter of referral

※As a measure to prevent infection with the COVID-19, we are not currently accepting the first visit for those without a letter of introduction.
Please present your health insurance card (elderly medical care card or other publicly funded medical care card) at Initial Visit Reception Counter No. 2 on the 2nd floor.
Note: Patients with a letter of referral are given priority. We strongly recommend that you bring a letter of referral from your primary care physician.

Note: Patients without a letter of referral from a primary care physician must pay a selective treatment fee of 11,000 yen (tax included) on their initial visit if you receive a consultation at our discretion. Note that some departments may be unable to provide consultation.

Please take a numbered ticket at Initial Visit Reception Counter No. 2 on the 2nd floor and complete a Consultation Request Form while awaiting your turn.

Your registration is already completed. At the time specified in the registration notice, please go to Reception Counter No. 1, (Community Medical Care Alliance Desk) on the 2nd floor.

Payment of the selective treatment fee for initial and subsequent visits

According to the amended government system in effect as of April 2016, the Osaka Red Cross Hospital is mandated to collect selective treatment fees. Patients who do not present a letter of referral on their initial visit will be charged a fee of 11,000 yen (tax included), if you receive a consultation at our discretion.
If you are a returning patient whose condition is under control and who has received a referral to a primary care physician, you may be charged 2,750 yen (tax included) if you arrived without a letter of referral from a primary care physician. Since April 1, 2018, this policy has applied when medical care is provided outside consultation hours and on days when the hospital is closed.
This fee does not apply to certain patients as specified by the government. Thank you for your understanding.

Medical fees for foreign patients who do not have Japanese public health insurance

Regarding medical fees to foreign patients who do not have either Japanese public health insurance or Japanese nationality, it will be calculated at 20 yen per point of medical fee points which is laid down by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare from June 1, 2020. We kindly ask for your understanding.

We seek to create a safe environment where the communication between our staff and our patients and their family members is well established and sustained so that every patient can enjoy high-quality medical service. We offer a wide range of interpretation services for those find verbal or non-verbal communication in Japanese challenging.
We provide remote interpreting service with a video tool. Though we aim to cover as much hours as possible in order to suffice the needs of all patient, we kindly ask for you to understand that the remote interpretation service may not be available depending on the time and language..
Medical interpretation is basically free of charge for outpatients and inpatients.
